So, I dredged this mirror up from the decay my grandfather calls an office about three years ago. It was a nasty, peeling mess of gold paint. Being who I am, I turned it this lovely silver without realizing how it pretty much disappears into the walls over every apartment on the planet. Well, no more! I present my mirror in Bali Turquoise by the wonderful Ralph Lauren!

Special thanks for Mr. Lauren for discontinuing his sample sizes. $1.50 for the paint of which there is roughly 95% left, $.50 for the brush which I can reuse later, and a free mirror. I have a feeling Bali Turquoise may find it's way into other parts of my life. And I have a feeling Home Depot may suddenly run out of Ralph Lauren samples. >.>

Good News and Window Shopping!
We just found out that I can get a job, exceed the income cap for our income-controlled complex, and still be able to stay here since we're already in the apartment! Which means that in May when our current roomie leaves we get a real master suite that will fit our dresser and I can make a real dining room. ANDANDAND A CRAFT ROOM/GUEST ROOM! I'm so damned excited right now. ^__________________^
SO! To celebrate the occasion, I've dug around a bit and am going to post a few things on my list of awesome stuff to buy. Or at least think of buying. haha
Futons!
Desks!
What I want:
+
What I'll probably end up with:
Yes, I realize IKEA is often a rip off, but I'm on a tight budget and you can't beat a $20 table that fits a sewing machine perfectly!
And organization at eye level so as to keep a certain three year old out of harm's way. Or is that keep my supplies out of harm's way?
I'm especially in love with clear jar containers. If I can find plastic ones to suit my needs, I'll be so ecstatic.
Bonus info: I have bought the paint for my mirror. Joey's going to be staying at my mother's house tomorrow night so it will be painting time! I can't wait. ^_^
PS I love exclamation points!!!

Time for a change...
I have no idea what to write here. Whatsoever. Do I introduce myself? Nah, no one reads that anyway. Do I put in some jokes? Probably should, but I'm way past that right now. I've drugged myself up with migraine medicine since that the strongest stuff I had available. I've broken a wisdom tooth and have to wait for Monday and major insurance issues to be resolved before I can get it fixed. So instead of boring you with an itemized list of who I am, I'll bore you with an itemized list of things I am making a promise to myself to do before we move in May.
-Build us a sofa to cater just to us
-Finish a wall art project, even if it's not hung
-Paint my old antique replica dresser
-Refinish my son's craft/eating table
-Purge, purge, purge
-Make/buy a headboard so I can call myself a real woman
-Make myself at least two new items of clothing
-Crochet a rag rug the size of Mars
-In fact, make rag rugs for every place a rug could go in my house
-Complete the three sewing projects that have been staring me in my face for over a year
-Finish knitting my first pair of socks ever, even if they're not perfect
-Read at least two books
-Take myself out for a spa day: manicure, pedicure, massage, waxing, etc
-Find a pair of heels that my feet won't bust out of
There are more that I'll think of, I'm sure. In the meantime, enjoy the 60F weather. It won't last long! And watch out for those earthquakes in Oklahoma!
